I think I am going to start buying all electronic toys that Blossom buys
after she test them out and gives us her opinion.

You don't have to put up with blue light bleed the Nexus 7 is much better and it's a tad cheaper in price. ![]() I am so glad I waited on the PW2 purchase as there is to be a PW3 next year in the second quarter of the year. |

My son gave me a basic Kindle Fire. I only use it for PDF documents that I need to read but don't want to sit at the computer to read. I have read 1 book on it and it was okay but the screen seems very touch. Moves at the slightest touch of my finger. I have not noticed a blue hue to it but I could just not be paying attention. As for my paperwhite it is still in a box somewhere in my office. I have honestly forgotten about it. I am watching the sales and I hope to get me a Nexus 7 in the next few months. Maybe Cyber Monday? If not I will tell me ex I need it and he will buy it for me.

I love that tablet just make sure to put Screen Dim app on it so you can read longer. I read for hours on mine every night. Loved it! Now it just sits there sooo lonely I think it misses me. ![]() Keep an eye on the Black Friday thread if it goes on sale it will be posted there. |

I am seriously thinking of getting a Nexus 7 myself, maybe next spring, especially if there is a good sale. I love reading on my Nook HD. I'd love to be able to compare the two!

Blossom all I know for sure is he paid $139 for it. When I look in manage my devices it says this: Kindle Fire HD 7"
I don't watch movies, television or anything like that. With my internet I cannot go over 400 mb a day. I have free time between 2 - 8 am. But sometimes I exceed that if I need to download something or send large files. So no youtube, no watching tv, no streaming music. lol wow I really can't do much but it is either satellite internet or nothing for me. |

The Nexus 7.2 feels like I am holding a eReader instead of a tablet that could be because my other tablet was shape and felt like a brick. The Kindle Fire First Generation weighs 14 ounces! The Nexus 7.2 only weighs 10.23 ounces and HDX 7 weighs 10.7 ounces so that should give you an idea of the change.

The $139 version is the new one I think from this year. I haven't heard anything bad about it at all. It has normal LEDs and I plan to later get myself one maybe. I just am tired of dealing with replacements for now.

I don't know if I could read on a tablet on a regular basis. Every time I've tried to read on my Fire I get distracted by email / FB / RSS aggregator... I just want something to read on.

lmao I could never move. I own my home with the 3 acres it sits on free & clear. I sit back off the paved road about 1/3 of a mile. The cut off for DSL is beginning of my driveway. ATT will give me DSL if I pay to run the fiber optic cables at the low cost of $250 a foot and a $5000 upfront fee. I will stick with my satellite.

I have not synced my email or anything to the fire and when I get a tablet I do not plan to sync anything to it. Especially email.
