Yes. %s is where a string (typically a title, author name or error message) goes and %d a number (3 / 5 done, etc.)

Hi Jimm,

I have the latest plugin installed properly, I have Generate Cover installed and configured, I configured FFDL to call Generate Cover only on new books, but it won't work. I have to click the GC button in my secondary toolbar to get a story cover in the books details panel. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

It's working fine for me.

Check and make sure that you have that GC setting selected for 'Default' or the site(s) you care about on the FFDL Generate Cover tab.

If you have "Allow generate_cover_settings from personal.ini to override" checked, make sure that none of your generate_cover_settings settings are for the same site(s)/stories.

No idea then.

If you run calibre in debug mode from command line (calibre-debug -g) try your download and post (or PM) the debug output, I might be able to see something.

I have the default site set to default, and it won't work. The moment I set the ao3 site to {default} it worked. I removed the setting from the ao3 line, it stopped working again.

The attached version adds some additional debug output to the GC hook. Try that and post the debug output.

Okay, I see what's going on here now. It is a real bug caused by subtle issue with the new translation code. I noticed it and made a cursory fix in the last version, but didn't understand all the ramifications. It worked, but not ideally.

This version should also work after you (Firedancer885) go into the Generate Cover tab and set Default again. Then it will always be saved the same for all languages.
