			Hello

I am looking for a way to hide the percentage (of pages read) that is shown at the bottom left of my screen when I am reading a book. Or if necessary the entire progress bar with the percentage. Right now my kindle is not jail broken and fully updated as far as FW is concerned (as far as I can tell). But I am willing to do whatever it takes in order to do this. I can not seem to find a solution, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Have anyone found recently a way of removing the reading progress bar? I really wanted a way of hiding it, since I find it defeating in longer books.

-edit. although it only covers it up, not removing it (and letting more words fill the screen), but still thanks |

perhaps that might be worth a look, but it's still a tradeoff... constant page updates or following an internal log... not sure what would be best. Code:
	tail -F /var/log/messages 2>/dev/null | exec /usr/bin/parselog | awk '/.*PageAction*./ {system("eips -d l=FFF,w=758,h=48 [-x 0 -y 977 -w 0] ")} '
hmm... first thing that strikes me is that those [ and ] are to denote an optional parameter... Quote:

means eips -d l=a,w=b,h=c -x xx -y yy -w wf (with the last 3 being optional) but that is not what is killing it.... (still checking) Last edited by twobob; 11-04-2013 at 01:47 PM. |

 Thus exploding the kindle. working on a fix. I guess eips -d l=FFF,w=600,h=48 -x 0 -y 751 , I'll test it. Last edited by twobob; 11-04-2013 at 02:00 PM. |
