Make sure whoever picks you up and drives you home is willing to fill your prescriptions and wait on you hand and foot for at leats a couple of days after the surgery. I've had a very similar procedure, and the ability to relax and not have to worry about anything, because someone was taking care of me, drastically shortened my recovery period.

You guys are freaking me out...i'm such a big CHICKEN i can't even go get two cavities filled right now lol....i just pop a few Tylenol (with a shot or something), lay down and hope it the pain ends soon

I tried this out and it works much better than the script I had posted earlier. No need to install an extension with this one.

1 tylenol + 1 ibuprofen + 1 shot of bourbon = out like a light, without any pain at all

It really isn't as bad as it seems when you read the posts here. get in there, get it done, get it over with. Take your meds, particularly the antibiotics, and it's only a matter of days before you're back to your normal happy self

You'll be okay! There is nothing to be afraid of and you will be asleep so you wont feel anything. The hard part will be afterward once the anesthesia wears off and you are at home. Just remember to take it easy and follow all doctors orders. Sending you good thoughts and positives vibes!

I didn't realize you had edited your post till KyBunnies mentioned it. I tried the script and it works great. Now I need to set aside some time daily and get this done. The script will help immensely!

I have such a phobia about the dentist they sometimes want to sedate me while I'm waiting for my daughter....my incessant rocking and pacing drives them nuts

I hope to have my digital library cleaned by the end of the year. I plan on starting this weekend. Or I hope to unless my son comes home from college and required 20 loads of laundry washed.
