Glo How common are stuck pixels?

Really??? Are you sure about that?

Maybe if you had read the entire thread you would know that when I first posted the issue I DIDN'T understand it was a defect in the light layer and not a pixel pixel stuck off and hence my title. As the thread evolved I was better educated by some of the more polite folks on the board and only a few posts above this one said as much.

So - anything of value to contribute to the discussions?

Yes - got it - bright spec, not stuck pixel.........

And actually, JSWolf's post is 100% incorrect. It isn't a bright spot(s) on the light, it is a problem with the light guide/layer.

gadgetdude, getting 2 bad units seems unlikely? By any chance was there a screen protector on the unit (I seem to recall people having problems with the Nook Glow, and it turned out that some weren't removing the shipping protective cover)?

The screen protectors were removed from both units (in the Glo packaging the screen protector has a little tab with a marker to remove it and so it is very obvious when you open the box). Both units were also sealed so they were not returns. The kind girl at Powell's is shipping me one from another location - she thought it might have been a bad batch.
