I haven't bought a book today, what a strange feeling! Actually I should clarify to say I didn't buy a romance book today, I did buy the Amazon deal 'The Dog Lived" by Teresa Rhyne, long story

On another note, Emma Chase [Tangled] posted this on FB today

For my ibooks and Kobo readers...yes, we're still waiting My publisher has looked into the delay of Tangled being available in these formats, and we've been assured it will be up "as soon as possible."

With this series, since people have made it clear they've just begun it, I guess I can understand this request. But on the other hand, I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect folks to put spoiler tags on any older book they discuss ever.

We've always used spoiler tags no matter what book was being discussed. It's just good net etiquette. When I've talk about 50 Shades or REAL or the book I was reviewing anything that contained spoilers has been encased in spoilers tags. I started doing this when I saw others doing it here years ago. It doesn't meant you can't discuss a book it just means anything that would give away say the ending or the mystery of the book it would just be wrong to talk about openly. It's okay to talk about the book and what you thought about it and things like that. I don't consider talking about things you can find in a blurb spoilers either.

You guys need to all hurry and read the rest of the series so you can enjoy Heart of Obsidian. Loved it.

It made me want to go back and start the whole series over! Which I won't do because (a) I have a ton of stuff to do around the house I let slide during my glom and (b) my TBR pile is a mile high.

But I will definitely reread the series again at some point.

Agreed. No matter how old a book is, there's always someone who hasn't read it yet.

Safer if I just refrain from talking about books than risk someone feeling like I rained on their parade.

Better yet get the audio version. I find Angela Dawe voice excellent. She can really make the story come alive.

He did? So I guess that is one book I'll never read. I need a HEA. I have a paperback of it but never got around to reading it.

There is a limit, but it has nothing to do with time. It has to do with how likely it is that the spoiler content is common knowledge. So is the fact that the ship sinks at the end of the movie Titanic, or that the 300 spartans in that really cheesy movie all die at the end. Everyone already knows that too, but that has nothing to do with how long it's been since either event.

And you get that, you're too smart not to understand the difference.

It's really not that difficult to take an extra moment to wrap spoiler tags around something. Why not take the extra few seconds and make sure you don't ruin someone else's enjoyment of a book you obviously enjoyed enough to tell others about it?

He did, and there was a huge controversy of his parting words when they made the movie. Apparently cussing in movies was similar to swearing in church back then.

And based on your preferences in these threads so far, I doubt you'd enjoy that book. I didn't find a lot of happy anything in it, and I kept hoping someone would either beat some sense into Scarlett and force her to grow up, or just make her suffer unbearably for her entire life.

Wow it sounds really horrible. Well please don't tell me any endings of Forever Amber. I own this huge dictionary size book and finally got the ebook. I am told it is the mother of all bodice rippers. I plan to read it this winter when there is nothing else to do.

I feel ancient that you've never heard of the end of Gone with the Wind. Forget the book, it's one of the most famous movie scenes ever. (I've actually never read the book completey, just seen the film).

As I said earlier, I was actually trying to avoid spoilers in my earlier post yesterday but some felt that by listing the couples for the books they hadn't read yet would color the way they read the earlier books in the series. Which I can totally see. So even if info like that is in the books' blurbs and technically not a spoiler it's easy enough to add the spoiler tags. Better safe than sorry.

There's a problem with this. If we're talking about a later book in this series, everything should go as a spoiler, because the series evolves and changes in time.

Good for you! I didn't either - I want to buy a few full-priced books off my TBR so have to restrain my 'it's only 99 cents 1-click' habits'!

And thanks for sharing... I'm in no rush anymore waiting for a coupon code or a sale now. Ah well, at least they are finally looking into it.
