So why wouldn't one buy an Ultrabook instead? The display is only real difference and even there is nice FullHD options available.

Google execs have their heads in the cloud. A reality check is in order and they'll get it mighty fast when this model crashes and burns in the starting gate.

Hmm, I wonder if could run the OS in VirtualBox, and how well it works with bad internet. Even Win 8 has issue on train when you don't have a decent connection at times... | |

I certainly wouldn't buy it. But prices always drop. When it hits $200, sure.

To paraphrase what I said in the V&R thread, between this and the Nexus Q, I have to wonder what the people at google have been smoking.

It looks like a nice device, just not at that price. I wonder how long it will take Google to figure out that it is horribly over-priced.

For the price of a Pixel, you can get 6 Acers or 5 Samsungs.

This may work like screen doors in submarines! Google's execs having their heads in a cloud, and what happy chemicals they may have been using or they flew into Mexico city's inversion layer and it did something to their brains! ;D Last edited by DustyDisks; 02-22-2013 at 10:09 AM. |
