Kindle reader apps internationally?

Now that we are seeing kindle stores for various countries, are people seeing apps available as well?
I'm in Canada and all I want is a nice chess application! I don't think I'm seeing them, but thought I might just be missing it.
Alternatively, is there a hack that would allow it?

No. "Active Content" is not sold outside the US.
