Nook glowlight?

hi
I have a kobo about a year old..really hate using it..slow page turn with the button...I thought about nook color 139.95 at walmart of nook simple touch with glow light but the reviews by customers say the glow light quickly develops problems......Any advice on these two or maybe plain simple touch in a florescent lighted room.I use one of those curly bulbs
any advice..The bad reviews on the light scare me.

Have you considered the Kobo Glo? It's much, much faster than the Kobo Wifi, and the light is excellent.

The newer frontlit readers from Kobo and Amazon seem to be much more durable. I assume the refraction layer is meted better to the eink.

I think it also depends on the one you get. We have three Nook Glowlights in our household, have all used them daily for months and have had no issues at all. One of us is a 12-year old, so it's a bit of a torture test. Still fine, though.

I am currently using a Nst Glow that I got from xmas and have no problems either.

I think one of the big factors with any ereader is to get a good cover / case -- this prevents TONS of problems.

Dang, spoke too soon (or maybe jinxed myself.) Just last night, dd found a bright spot on her screen. Poo.

ETA ~ happily, it is still in warranty, so B&N is sending a replacement this week. Pretty good customer service. I understand that the replacement units they send out are refurbs, but that's fine with me.
