Books with unlinkable end notes

How do you deal with books with unlinkable end notes? I have some books like that and it's very annoying. I have to manually switch back and forth between the main content and the end notes. It takes too many steps, even with a bookmark, to make the switching.

The end notes are essential to get full understanding of the book so it's not that I can just ignore them.

Complain to the publisher. Having unlinked notes is unacceptable.
