It could well turn out to be an enjoyable movie. It just won't be a real Jack Reacher movie. Just someone who coincidentally has the same name and history. I know a fellow whose name is the same as mine... we went all through schools together, even the same classes for religious training after school. Same classes, same schedules right up through high school. But we ain't the same guy...

Saw it last night and wasn't impressed. Film did not focus on Reacher the man but more on Tom Cruise beating up guys half his age.

And to get around the age thing, the movie states Reacher attended West Point and retired from the Army which would make him about 42 when he retired. As I recall from the books, he only spent 10 years in the Army then resigned. Hmmm.

Saw it last night. I couldn't get past how short he looked as Reacher. The movie was ok. Like a previous poster pointed out, it's more about him beating up younger and bigger guys and not about the character Reacher.
