Also the firmware update may be locked only to be able to use dedicated versions of firmware for this brand. I have no information that supports the above, I just say that the above is technically possible. It does not imply, that it will happen. So posibly there will not be any problem to install general Boox firmware and read documents from any source.

With OTFM I extracted the user manual from my onyx firefly.

Hi, does anyone know which dictionary comes with the firefly ? My version has a chinese (I think) name and the definitions are interspersed with chinese (I think) words, making it pretty unpleasant to use. |

Forget that dictionary. Just download any of these: http://abloz.com/huzheng/stardict-dic/ Install instructions here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=164162 (first post, under Dictionaries) Last edited by yayo; 12-10-2012 at 09:38 AM. |

Is there any way, other than running the OTFM program, to view and possibly edit (for example remove that unwanted dictionary) the content of the system files in the firefly. It seems strange for an open system, that we shouldn't be able to visualize it easily. Also, when I add a certain amount of fonts, I can't seem to be able to access them all. 25 are visible, but that seems to be it. One can't scroll or move to another page where the remaining the fonts would be visible.
