converting RPG books from PDF to AZW3, messes up images.

I just recently bought a kindle fire, primarily for RPG books and comics. having a few problems with how PDFs are handled I was pointed to Calibre to convert it to AZW3

After conversion, it leaves me with something like 19000? I believe, I may be adding a 0 pages where a vast majority of them artwork from the pages of the book, some pages were split in half, or even threes, ect..I have no idea how to fix that.

I took some pictures of what its doing on my phone, basically the pages should all sort of look like this(for those who've never seen a RPG book)

Sorry the image is terrible, best I could get it, anyway...What its doing, is taking the images from that..and seperating them from the text, resulting in pages that look like this.

That is normal for PDF's

did you read this sticky https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=118605

You might be able to (tediously) edit them EPUB with a program like Sigil, but leaving a complex picture based document in PDF is probably best

Well, the problem is theres alot I need to do with it, that I simply can't do with a PDF. Search the document, go to a specific page, table of contents, ect are all very important for RPG source books when they're a few hundred pages long and not very structured.
