no retina on the ipad mini, ugh. 163 ppi.. compare that to Kindle Fire HD, Nook HD, Nexus 7. Just lost my sale on that one

Well, here's one way to cut costs. The 7.9" display has a resolution of only 1024x768 for a 162 PPI. That's an even lower pixel density than a first gen Kindle Fire (169 PPI). How utterly lame!

Interesting that they feel the need to make so many comparisons to the (unnamed) Nexus 7. Clearly they feel the competition.
