Just got a kindle paperwhite in store at Best Buy - Page 2

I probably won't be buying a Paperwhite for myself, but I am considering a gift purchase for my daughter. We'll see. Although the overhead lighting at the store isn't ideal for testing, it'll be fun to play with one.

First one is at 22, The second is at 15. This is in a small room with all the lights on so Id say its a bright room.

Dragoro, I'd like to know how your book shows page numbers. I haven't found a way to show them on mine!

Some books from Amazon have page numbers, some don't. If you are reading a book that does have page numbers, they will show automatically.

When they showed up as "in stock" in store on bestbuy.com yesterday, I called my closest BB and they said they would be releasing them next Tuesday. After seeing reports here that some folks had picked one up already, I called again tonight and they were available. I got the last one.

In other words, typical BB.

I had one on order with Amazon, but I decided to see if I could pick one up this evening from Best Buy. They had two left when I got there. The women who I purchased it from said she had put six out out this afternoon, and with my purchase they had already sold four.

I picked one up tonight as well at BB in Phoenix. I had to tell them they had them, show them on the website, provide the SKU #, and get approval from the manager.

So far I like it.

That is good to hear, friend of mine is going to Washington next week, so I am considering buying one more PW just in case original one is flawed, then I do not need to wait for replacement.
