wow! it's all go in Koboland. It makes complete sense for the tablet mag market to get a quality mob like aquafadas on board. Good news for additional partners in NZ too-the more distros the better.

This could help make the Kobo Arc a much more attractive buy. And self-publishing for rich, colour content is fantastic! I have someone locally who produces a local mountain biking map book and this is exactly the kind of platform he needs to self-publish it on Kobo! (And since Kobo has 47% marketshare in Canada, that's the platform he wants to target first.)

Kobo has done an excellent job of getting partnerships in a lot of different markets world wide. It'll be interesting to see where they hit next.

Two different statistics.

Kobo has 47% of the sales life to date (and 55% over the last year) in dedicated e-ink e-readers. That's a study strictly looking at e-ink device sales.

This new study is looking at e-book sales, not e-reader sales, so blends in people who read on tablets, laptops, smartphones, etc. Given all the devices and all the e-book stores available, Kobo having 27% of that fractured market is actually a huge accomplishment, especially since Kindle, Sony, iBooks, etc., have captured less.
