can I purchase the new Astak Mentor devices in Middle-Europe, on the release date? Do you ship to Europe? Do you support non-English letters, too?

Hiya Charybdis and welcome here! as robertb of astak's said, they will ship over all countries, or most of them, buying it at their astakshop's site...Just you'll have to pay for shipping... About the language (at least for now) there are those languages supported,,,,but who knows? maybe for in-the-market-release date they will add more languages like italian....

fingers crossed for 249$ !!!! even with overseas shipping it will be really cheap for us right now. i think a lot of europeans would buy one without hesitating, at that price. and if they are selling from the US, it seems like the only fair way.

Uhm....Charybdis e Zelda, we have to see when the 5" will be released to have also a possible prediction for 6" and 9.7" products from the real price of the 5"... Just I wonder RobertB would let us know their prediction about price difference...

Zelda, what about if me and you build a new european eBook Reader for Europe? something with just a paperbox with a 6" eINK and just two plastic buttons and sell it for EUR 100?... :-D

i think the real question is not the exact price in dollars, but whether the europeans will be able to pay the price in dollars (which will cost us whatever the equivalent in euros is, according to the current exchange rate) or if they will apply a 1$ = 1€ parity to make the european price, which would be much more expensive for us and not really very fair.

but you're right, we have to wait and see... unless robert b could give us an idea !

we could make our own model but i want maybe a few more buttons than 2 !! but 100€ sounds like a great price !!!

If you buy with credit card, the payment is in dollars as you buy it in the USA, and when you get the monthly credit card report you'll get just the exchange rate in euros.
