How about friends lists? I would like to see what books my friends have bought from Kobo and what they're reading now. Kind of Facebook within the Kobo app would be cool.

Really? Within the app itself? I know you can post to Facebook but that's not really what I was talking about.

Tap on the blue menu, select Reading Life, select Friends. Provided you are signed into Kobo and Facebook, *and* your friends are doing the same, and have not make their profile or library private, you will be able to see your friends, and books in their library (yes, you can turn off these features). When you tap on a book it will display the overview of that title.

Ah well that's great. I guess the problem is that I don't have any friends using Kobo so I can't see that.

Yes, that would be the cause of not seeing the options then.

So, the new iOS icon looks much less attractive than the old one. I also see a new but different icon on the Kobo Facebook page. It's better than the iOS one, but I still prefer the old one.

Here's a feature I would really like to see: the end of the Loading circle animation when re-entering the app. IOS supports multitasking. The more detailed description of the problem: - Open a book in the Kobo app. - Switch to a different app - Come back to Kobo. Behavior: The app comes back up, and text is there to read, for a second or two. Then the screen goes blank while the Loading... icon shows up. Wait 5-10 seconds, then the text reappears. Why the magic disappearing text? Very frustrating. |

How long are you usually in the other app before you see this? The reason I ask is that what I believe is happening is that you have switched to the other app for 5 minutes or longer and then switched back to the Kobo app. When the app has been suspended for 5 minutes or longer, we will check for an updated cloud bookmark, and this will cause the refresh you see, as potentially you may be in a different position in the book; for example, you suspended the app (you don't need to switch to another app, just suspend the app) on your iPad and started to read on your iPhone. After 5 or more minutes you then switch back to your iPad. |

Yes, it is almost certainly more than 5 minutes. I dislike the behavior though. In this respect, the Kindle app is better behaved - it brings up a popup if there is a bookmark on another device that is further along in the book. Otherwise, nothing happens and you can continue reading. I don't mind a background process to see if you're further along, but the 5-10 second blank screen is annoying.

the Touch eReader also has a similar function and it's something we are considering for a future release of the iOS app.
