You may be experiencing some MobileRead groupthink there. Web fiction is about as niche as niche gets. The main purpose of Readability and this spin-off is formatting middling to long articles or blog posts for easier reading. With Readlists, the idea is to make and share lists of related articles, not necessarily to piece together something that was serial in the first place. If you look at the front page, you'll see a few 'collected editions' of different posts from the same blog, but the majority of lists are topically linked articles or essays by various authors, with not one work of fiction.

I only thought of chaptered fic later, in part because I knew about squeebook and had been looking for a way to collect themed sets of blog posts from multiple places, and squeebook doesn't work for that. (Or at least, not publicly. Can collect them; can't later point people to the collection; would have to send it out privately.)

Ok so maybe I should have clarified, since I haven't really USED Readlists myself, my comment was based on SqueeBooks (I was going on the assumption they were basically performing the same function). So SqueeBooks main purpose is to make an ebook out of multi-chapter web fiction (the summary given of Readlists sounded allot like that to me). I could make some comments on the miss-assumptions made and incorrect comment but that will detract from the topic. Since I haven't actually had a chance to try "Readlists" I'll stop cluttering this topic now then. Last edited by Kaylee Skylyn; 05-28-2012 at 12:20 AM.
