I bought it at Lush, they don't do packaging and although it is mentioned on the website and the label I didn't see it mentioned on the card next to the stack of bath bombs. I'm now reasonable deglittered and hopefully the bathroom is too otherwise I have to give it another clean tomorrow morning.

Glitter in bathing stuff for women is IMO one of the most stupid ideas possible.
I don't even dare to estimate how long it takes to brush ones tongue clean and clean the toothbrush after that. |

![]() Personally I think that the person who thought it was a good idea to put glitter in bath bombs should be forced to bathe in those things at least twice a day (and no showering afterwards) for the rest of his life. I was glad to have my Clarisonic and its bodybrush with me to get the stubborn glitters off that wouldn't come off with just a washcloth! |

For the past six months I've been hearing about, reading about, and seeing prototypes of a new, VASTLY improved helmet from the Shoei company. For what may be the first time in history, a manufacturer actually listened to what the public has been asking for, listened to the requested changes and improvements, and designed them ALL into a new motorcycle helmet. I can't begin to tell you how different this thing is... It still 'looks' like most helmets, but that's about all. Safer. Stronger. Lighter. Quieter (almost no wind noise.) Completely removable ADJUSTABLE liner for a customized fit. Deeper ear recesses for communication speakers, redesigned interior air-flow that finally brings cool air into the helmet on top of the head while pulling out heated air via a venturi principle... The list goes on and on...
The ONLY drawback to this helmet is the price... Almost $700... ![]() Finally, Shoei began delivery of these new gems, but in dribs and drabs! The first shipment only had sizes Small, Medium, and Large, in a few selected colors. Weeks went by with no further shipments. I only wear White helmets and I need a larger size... This morning I received an e-mail from my favorite bike shop telling me that they had finally received one white Neotec helmet in my size, and would they like them to hold it for me... I looked at my wife... with the saddest dog-begging eyes I could muster.... AND SHE SAID YES!!!!!!! 30 minutes later I was at the shop, 45 minutes later I was riding down the street with a brand new brain bucket! Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 05-19-2012 at 05:52 AM. |

They say 'the third time is a charm.' I guess it's true!

It lives up to its advertising. So far, everything they said about it seems to be true. Because of the fully customizable interior, I was able to add 2mm shims inside and behind the cheek pads, snugging them up just a wee bit, but without reducing overall head size. And because those pads can come out, one can put the sizing shims inside, out of the way, so they don't affect the comfort of the liner. And for the first time, a helmet liner can just snap out for washing! Liners can get pretty grotty over time... And this liner isn't part of the EPS safety foam that remains in with the helmet shell, so there is no reduction in safety when fiddling with the liner for comfort! Most helmets have air intake ports over the forehead and under the chinbar, but I have never before felt any air coming through them, even with other Shoei helmets I've used. With this one, it was as if there was a little electric fan blowing over my head inside the helmet! Of course this air intake port can be set for different airflow or none at all in colder weather. Installing my communicator speakers in other helmets required that I cut the internal liner, dig out some either rubber foam or carve away some EPS foam to make room for the speakers. Then try to route the wires in such a way that they don't get snagged when putting on or taking off the helmet, especially the off-side speaker with the wire that goes from one side of the helmet to the other. With this helmet, after unsnapping the cheek pads, there was a lined circle where the speakers would go... that snapped out of the helmet revealing a molded in 'well' for speaker placement. And because all of the liner just snaps in or out, unsnapping a few snaps allowed me to just drop the wires behind the liner, snap it all back together, and the installation was finished... Boom! Neat as a pin and not a wire in sight! You can't imagine just how excited I am! ![]() But the proof of the pudding is in the eating... or in this case, taking a long ride with it on my head. Today I only rode about an hour after buying it as I had things that needed to be done at home. But tomorrow.... We already have the route chosen and a picnic spot decided upon. About 175k though the mountains, following a river valley for the picnic, and a nice relaxed ride. I think this helmet will make the grade... Stitchawl |
