Would you guys recommend getting a SD card to go along with it? I imagine a 2 gig or 4 gige would be nice...for music storage as well as books?

Yes, I would.

Also since you're traveling so much, to cut down on the number of chargers you have to carry around, you might want to check out the chargers with interchangeable tips from Gomadic.

Yes, and it is required if you want to make "screenshots", but if your order goes above $400 don't forget that someone has to be around to sign for the package tomorrow.

Someone also mentioned that with Amazon we have a 30 day trail period? Has anyone heard of any problems with this? If not--I guess I can't go wrong.

Yep, that's what I meant by diddling the DRM. Glad to know it works on library eBooks. But, doe sit still have the time limit or does it then become unlimited?

Using a SD card will decrease the amount of battery life you get per charge. So I would not recommend such unless you cannot get enough content to hold you over until you arrive back home.

The other option is to load all you can on the internal memory and some of SD and only use the SD if you run out on the internal content.

I'm about to find out since the first library books that I downloaded expire today. My assumption is that they will expire from what I have read. Will update you tomorrow. Now, if I can only get mobi2mobi to work, I can also know the title of my library books when I read them!

cheers

Really?? Because mine seems to go for an awful long time (like several thousand page turns) with or without the SD card.

This is very true and I have done just that several times to the point of probably annoying some, However while reading on the Amazon forums sometimes I come across misinformation to other posters and unfortunately I cant post any comments on the error. Plus I know it is inevitable on a public forum but I can not stand someone posting on something that could have been answered with a two minute search or a couple pages into a board. Yes I have been guilty myself on occasion but it is usually because I am looking for something unique that may not be covered under general searches.
