Crusie is great at dialog, but her books seem (to me) to be plot driven, that is, characters behave as they do not from anything intrinsic to their nature but as the plot demands. you therefor do get inconsistencies. And Agnes and the Hitman is a romp but not in the least intended to be realistic. I do enjoy Crusie, but I admit in limited quantities. And I think she's a better author by herself than in her colabs with Bob Mayer.

Cruisie is hilarious--I haven't read that one yet.

At the Boston Public Library, 1 copy with 124 on the waiting list for Fifty Shades of Grey. How sad is that?

The 50 Shades trilogy are currently the 4th, 5th and 7th overall best selling eBooks on Amazon. The Hunger Games takes up spots 1, 2, 3 and 6. Guess women really do buy more eBooks than men? |

I noticed the 50 Shades books out on our library site the other day and the waiting lists were about twice as large as the Harry Potter queues. I guess I never knew all my neighbors had it in them. Hey JsWolfe if you really want to weep with moral indignation, you should check yourself out some Maya Banks. |

As for Maya Banks, would I regret it? | |

Things have gone from bad to worse. The Boston Public library now has a wait of 133 for one copy of Fifty Shades of Grey.
