Go to first new post

Something I just learned. If you hold your curser over the little down arrow at the beginning of the thread title, a pop up allows you to go to the first new post.

Did everyone already know about this?

I guess I'm not the brightest bulb in the knife drawer.

I did know about it and use it regularly, but like you, found it by accident

The problem for me is that many times I miss the arrow (too lazy to zoom in when browsing on a tablet), and end up visiting the OP's homepage.....

This is why I don't like to use my tablet for the MR forums.

Some things, like the page buttons are definitely not finger friendly.

It would be nice if there would be a setting so that the name of the thread would be a link to the first unread post and not the first post. That would be easier to use on a tablet.

Some forums have a link that says First Unread Post and clicking it takes you there.

You don't need to wait for the popup. Just click on the down arrow next to the thread title.

It works that way in a lot of forums.

Sometimes I want to see what the OP said, I wouldn't want to have to go the the first new post in a long thread, then click back to the first page.

I just click the title, read the OP then click the icon at the top of the thread that says go to first new post.

But you can still do that by clicking on "1". It takes you to the first page at the top of the page.
