Actually, it is something Calibre can't fix. Calibre can't fix an eBook that isn't using the correct CSS. That doesn't work. And to be honest, Calibre is not always the answer. ePub > ePub is a bad idea. Learn XML/CSS and make the changes yourself. It's much safer and doesn't change things except for the fixes.

You erase all the formatting and it's going to look awful. Calibre is not magic. It cannot restore what's not there. Sorry, but give it up, Calibre is not a magic fix. The best way to fix things is to get inside the ePub, roll up your sleeves and edit away.

I tell Calibre to justify the text and remove spaces between paragraphs, then any further formatting can be handled by my Nook (margins, line spacing, font size, etc). I dunno, works for me. I mean, if you can edit the CSS yourself that's great but I don't really have time to learn a programming language just to tweak ePubs. Calibre handles that stuff just fine for me. |

And you have to click on the 'promo' codes etc. arrow so it drops down and you get text boxes to enter discount codes in.

Yes, clearly I was able to enter the codes and get the books for 85% off, but Loosheesh's profile says s/he is from the US, but the books were about 2/3rd the price of mine (only 7% of the difference was tax). I was just trying to figure out whether there's a way to stack coupons at Kobo, so that the next time there's a deal like this, I can get them at an even nicer price.

Great deal. I was always going to get around to getting these books someday. Looks like the day finally came.

My mistake. I only glanced at your profile, and also didn't notice that the runner for your books read is a woman. Still, I wonder why my price was higher than yours.
