That's great news. I really didn't think running just the update would actually work but like I said it was worth a try. Good to know when future owners run into a problem. I have scoured the forum regularly and I don't remember anyone ever trying to fix an eDGe with just the update, they always went for the full OS install.


This also means there should have been no loss of user data. Can you confirm this?

"Go for the Golden" was my advice, he performed the normal update and...Everything fine.

I'll ask to him a confirmation

The update linked to in this thread is the Golden Update. I just want to make sure I understand, he only performed the Golden update and not the entire Golden Dingo OS install.

That's awesome. I think you may be one of the first to recover their eDGe with just an update. At least that I know of.
