I'm reading my palm. There doesn't seem to be a digital version available in epub so I have to make do with an original. That's not as bad as it seems, though, as I am usually able to remember to bring it with me when I'm leaving the house, so I have it with me for when ever I get a spare moment or two. It's pretty interesting so far, and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

It's been cold for a couple of days and nights which means that (almost) everyone in the Netherlands is discussing if the Elfstedentocht (Eleven City Tour) will finally be held for the first time since 1997. The BBC once called it "an annual speed skating competition that is rarely held".

My father is secretly hoping that it will be held next weekend because he and my mother have rented a cottage near the route.

Stella's new game is "ambush cat" - she hides under a chair and waits for an unsuspecting cat - or human - to walk by and then rushes out.

Sadly she thinks she is completely hidden.

More sadly, she often falls asleep under there ....

That's cute - our ~18mth cat does the same, but from outside in the dark, you walk past the open door and next thing you know you're deciding if you'll break your leg of land on the cat (I break my leg).
