| I don't read books. I come to Mobile Read for the fascinating conversations about Apple and Google. | | 5 | 1.86% |
| Probably about 25. | | 27 | 10.04% |
| Maybe about 50. | | 91 | 33.83% |
| I'm thinking about 100. | | 51 | 18.96% |
| More than 100, easily. Probably less than 1,000 though. | | 65 | 24.16% |
| I always aim for 365 books precisely. Whether I'll make it is anyone's guess. | | 2 | 0.74% |
| I think the idea of counting books is flawed and pointless, and I will probably derail this thread to say so repeatedly. | | 16 | 5.95% |
| None of these options are right for me, but I like voting. I want a bucket of kittens. | | 47 | 17.47% |

Based on last year I will actually read 211 new books. I will reread about 100. I will start and not finish 21 and skim through about 50. As many have said before, too many wonderful books and too little time Helen |

I put 2 down for my Goodreads challenge, just so I don't have to worry about through the year. I'll probably read around 150-180 books... |

I went for 100 and a bucket of kittens. But where is the blue one, next to the fish?

i'm on 4th book this month so if I continue like this it will be 50-ish. I never counted them really before. Anyway, kittens please! |

I had to go for the 100 to 1000 option. Of course, there are weeks I might not finish a book, and weeks where I'll be reading more and might finish off a book every two days. But at a guess, I'm usually going to exceed 100. I was the kind of kid who could bring home a stack of library books as tall as my torso and have a third of them read the same day. Thanks to my grandma who let me use her library card in addition to my own. But I was tempted by the bucket of kittens option. |

So far, that's two time travellers coming out of the closet. I was tempted by the kittens but decided I'd met the cute quota for the week. The reading quota for the year? 50 to be safe. My mother's too busy reading to answer the poll, so I'll put her in for 200 at a minimum. She might get to 300, though. |

I will read as many books as I can. I don't care how many that will actually be. Kittens don't come in buckets -- they are delivered in cats! |

I know there's something in this post I'm missing, but I keep hearing, "If a book leaves New York with 100 pages in 2011, and arrives in Denver with 800 pages in 2012, how many minutes will it take Christa to figure this out?" I know it's just me. Edited to add: Nevermind! I got it now! Yay! At least no one can accuse me of being afraid to look dense in public. Last edited by CWatkinsNash; 01-27-2012 at 12:03 AM. | |

I'm one of the many "one book a week"-persons, so about 50 for me.
