| Yes, it's my security blanket. I have bought purses/jackets/clothing around my need to carry it at all times. | | 87 | 32.58% |
| Yes. Well, most of the time. I'm not as obsessive as the people in Option 1. | | 89 | 33.33% |
| About 50/50 for me. The people in Option 1 and 2 are pretty extreme. I like pina coladas. | | 39 | 14.61% |
| Not really. I didn't vote in Option 3 because I thought it sounded kind of sanctimonious. | | 34 | 12.73% |
| No, I keep my eReader at home, often in a locked safe. If I don't take the wrapper off, it will accrue in value. | | 9 | 3.37% |
| Dear madam, these poll options are dreadful, and additionally I have a kipper in my ear. | | 19 | 7.12% |

Yep, I bought a Scott e-Vest for it. I've got an iPad for most of my reading, the kindle fire for lunch and I always carry my iPhone with me. I haven't decided if I'm going to take the kindle fire, or my Sony PRS-505 on my next backpacking trip. I generally read different books on different devices, though the iPad and iPhone sync up the iBooks and I can read books on the kindle app on the iPad and fire.

I was actually considering keeping my old Sony 650 at work loaded with the same books as my new T-1 at home, but what would I read between the two places? My cell isn't as fun as my Readers. I think I will still carry it with me. More practical that way in a pinch when I get to hitch a ride on a yellow-brick like- Vogon spaceship with my towel in hand.

I don't carry it everywhere I go, because I don't go everywhere. I get out of the house about twice a month, once for doctor and once for shopping. I'll bring a reader for the first, but not second.

I chose option one, but there is a side note: If my purse goes then my Kindle goes since my Kindle stays in my purse when I'm not using it.

It depends. If I carry any heavy books in my backpack, my Sony stays at home. If not, I bring it with me.

I have to admit that I have been worried about bringing my Sony Reader with me on very cold days when I know I will be walking a lot around town, as I've heard stories of the glass breaking in cold weather; I'm not quite sure what the temperature threshold is for it. I also haven't brought when I've gone out to clubs (even though I've been very tempted to) because I'm afraid that some drunkard will bump into me and break it.

I have an iPad and iPod Touch. The latter I bring with me everywhere, while the latter often but not all the time.

I don't go out but so often right now, and I wont take an ereader if shopping, but if I expect to be waiting awhile I like to take my Nook along in its little case and I DO like Pina Coladas (the unfermented fruit juice blend variety) pity we can't trade up for the babel fish |

I voted for options 1 and 3. Option 1. I read on my smartphone which I carry with me all the time so you can say I always carry a reader with me. Prior to using electronic devices for reading, I always carried a book or two with me. For graphic novels (which usually takes me only 15 minutes to read), I carried as many as 20 - the max that'll fit in my backpack. Option 3. I have an e-ink reader at home and another one that's always in the car. I don't read on them as often as I do on my smartphone and neither do I feel the compulsive need to carry them with me at all times. |

For the most part, my Kindle stays home. Occasionally on a nice summer day, I might take it to a park for the relaxing setting. Fresh salt air, snow-capped mountains in the distance, while listening to the sounds of seagulls flying overhead and ferries arriving and departing. Very peaceful.

I will always carry my device with me. I didn't have to buy anything to accommodate that as I was already used to always take a book with me.

That was then. Currently, the area is bracing for another winter storm bringing 4 to 12 inches of snow and very strong winds. Got my Kindle and several MP3 players fully charged in case the power goes out, along with a book light that uses AAA batteries. | |

If I have a bag, I have a reader. My K3 stays at home next to my bed. I tend to travel with my iPad to work in my big bag and on weekends I want light so I carry my Fire in a smaller bag to flea markets and Malls. I don't read on my phone anymore.

I should have had an option above option one. If, for some bizarre reason, I leave home without my Kindle, I will turn around and go back for it. I have a list, hey, I'm old, on my door reminding me of what I have to have when I leave home. My Kindle is right below my camera on the list.
