Is there a free program I can download that will scan my epub books folder (Calibre) and allow me to paste the details into Word? I just want the book title and authors name. As it means I have to open every authors folder to check what books of theirs I have. |

Easiest way is to use Calibre itself to do it for you. Open Calibre and hit the dropdown button next to Convert Books, and select "Create a catalog of books in your calibre library" You can change options such as only have the author/title, or also include things such as each book description and cover page. Select the output format you want (probably epub) and hit the OK button. It will generate an epub with details of your ebooks. |

Thank you that works well. Is it possible for me to copy the list it creates into Word afterwards to edit how I want it? | |

Try saving it as a CSV file and import it into Excel. Just be sure to eliminate some of the fields, or else it will be a bit unwieldy.

One of calibre's output formats is RTF, which is a format that Word can use. So use the Convert Books function in calibre to convert the EPUB you created to RTF. You might also want to experiment with the TXT output format.

Hello Polli, what is meant is: 1. create a list of your books formatted as ebook - then 2. convert it into Rich Text Format (RTF) Now you can edit this file within MS Office or your preffered Application. |
