I'd appreciate an apology for your erroneous statement that I somehow attacked TechnoCat despite having no idea that user name even existed at the time when I posted my actual post about derailing. Anything I said to TechnoCat was in response to zie asking me to elaborate and then putting words in my mouth, which I then called "bad faith". Fancy that.

Well, I didn't do that actually, so I'm afraid I can't apologize for that. I know I easily could, and just kill the whole thing, but I can be a stubborn ass that way. It's one of my very, very few faults. My only one, really.

What I can apologize for, is the mistake I did make: in that post (I can't remember the number; it's the one you're referring to, though) I stupidly used the pronoun "him" without having referred to marcbot by name first. That was a result of poor editing on my part. And it is, apparently, what lead to the above confusion where it seemed like I was saying you accused TechnoCat. Which wasn't what I was trying to say. So for that misunderstanding, I do apologize.

And now I'm off to another thread.

As much as I enjoy good flame, this is a little much.
BTW agree with Ana, if one side have some facts and the other don't, but tells first side, that "you don't have ALL the facts/it's just one side of the story" is kind of derailing.

Businesses exist to make as much money as possible, by screwing over as many people/businesses as possible. It doesn't matter what business it is, they ALL do it.

So either buy the product or don't, buy it from a particular vendor or don't. But for Godsakes, enough with the bickering over what anyone has said, if you don't get along they have this cool feature called ignore....USE IT!
