I've got a haircut booked for later today. No anaesthetic needed though. I've been going to this barber for about 15 years!

I'm not a believer, but I love your thought on this bjones, it did me good to read your post. I got bad news yesterday evening, my mom has skin cancer (carcinoma), she was cancer free the last 7 years so it is a shock for us all.
They apparently got the tumour completely out, and it was under 1.5 mm so really tiny, but the biopsy being positive and regarding her cancer history other measures need to discussed with the staff that only gets together on January 20th, so until then we need to be patient and positive.
Trying to keep the christmas spirit going for the kids, but it's very tough.

I am checking out until the end of the holidays (jan 9th) but I'll post if I can, reading you guys does me good.

I'm so sorry to hear this about your mom -- I know it's worrying, particularly when you have to get through the holidays before any decisions can be made. I'll send good vibes your way...

Me, too. I've been battling a scratchy throat all week, hoping I could throw it off before Christmas. It's not the worst cold I've ever had, but I just don't feel up to par. So, Stitchawl, I'm treating mysef to a cup of Celestial Seasonings chai! Why don't you join me?

Truly, I went and rummaged through my tea box and it's the only thing that struck my fancy.
