Just so you know, the intellicast 10 day is calling for rain/snow showers Monday December 5th. I can't imagine that any of it will stick as its not been anywhere near cold enough, but it might be pretty to look at out the office windows.

bgd - do you ever read Lee Smith's short stories? There's one (Ultima Thule) that describes a similar experience - but with markedly different results!

BTW - were you ever in Myrtle Beach? I remember seeing casket side cars there ....

I adore Lee Smith. I've met her a number of times in Hillsborough, and she is an absolutely delightful woman. My favorite story of hers will always be Georgia Rose though i've read everything she has released to date.

Looking out at my front yard today I can see that about 3 inches of snow accumulation fell last night. I am just eyeballing it but there must be at least an inch more on my driveway and walk. How does it manage to do that? Then there is the online weather forecast web site I look to for my local weather prediction. It would seem at the moment where I live the temperature is 33 F and yet the predicted high for the day is 30 F. Another one of life's great mysteries I guess? Well after a cup of coffee it will be time to bundle up warmly and grab the snow shovel.

It is 60+ F here, but we have are having wind gusts that are over 40 mph. Enough to fill my pond with leaves (not on the lawn this year ), blow the lawn furniture over and across the patio, and make it hard for me to stay in a standing position.
