Not just a lifetime. Life of the hat! Tilley told me that if I pass my hat on to my son and he has a problem with it, they will replace it, no questions asked.

And... they would send him a packet of 'brag tags' too!

Kind of makes you wish you bought the hat when you were a teenager - to test their guarantee?

COLD this morning (32 F) with a high in the 50's F. Leaves plummeting to the ground - guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

I'd trust 'em. A year after I moved back to Japan, the nylon 'wire' sewn inside the edging of the brim broke. This reduced the tension on the brim and left if just a tad 'limp.' I wrote to Tilley to ask how I could fix it... There was nothing else wrong with the hat, and I would be more than happy to wear it as it was if there was no fix to it... Tilley wrote back that they were sending me a new replacement hat. When I asked where I should send my old one, they told me not to. Yeah... I trust their guarantee.

I think it's almost 0 degrees out there and i am looking down the windows to all those people who are staying out...why?!

Warm and muggy compared to what we've had. The high is about 80F and there is a chance of rain wit cloud cover. This will probably lead to fog for my drive home tonight.

Unnaturally warm & muggy - highs in the 70's - feels like hurricane weather! Very odd!

Same again tomorrow - then the next cold front rolls through!
