I've edited the title to conform with our naming conventions. Books don't show up in the right place in the index otherwise.

The History of the United States by Charles and Mary Beard. This version 2 fixes captions that did not come out well.

When you upload a new version, please attach it to the first message in the thread (click the "Edit" button below the message, then the "Advanced" button to manage attachments.). This makes it easy for people to locate the latest version in what may be a long thread. What people normally do is to make a note of the number of times that the previous version has been downloaded, then delete the earlier attachment, replace it with the newer one, and say "Previous download count: xxx" (or something similar).

If you wouldn't mind doing this I'd appreciate it, thanks.

Charles Beard 1874-1948
Mary Beard 1876-1958.
This is one of those books that is out of copyright in the USA because it is pre-1923 (1921, to be exact).
But it is still in copyright in life plus 70 years, and life plus 50 years countries.
