Ottawa Public Library has 7851 ebooks now; that is about double what they had last year. The titles are mainly epubs, with some pdf and mobi titles. They also have 3198 WMA ebooks and 496 MP3 ebooks.

Updated list. We have a new entry Cuyahoga County Ohio but lost Washington DC. However, DC may reappear if Manitoba cannot keep up. All Canadian libraries dropped in the standings. Perhaps, their fiscal year begins a different time of the year.

Orange County added over 8000 titles and jumped in the standings. Also, it is nice to see both NY and Brooklyn add 4000 titles each.

Two of the libraries have Kindle downloads available.

Within the last 7 days, the DC library added 107 eBooks.

I think that Digital downloads in Ohio can be added. They added a lot of books and they have over 11,500 e books. Here is the address.

San Jose public library has over 6000 ebooks listed. Santa Clara county has a similiar number I think, but not sure.

Thank you. Columbus Ohio area libraries were on the list at one time but had dropped off. Currently they list 11,873 titles of which 9921 are available for Kindle users. Since Overdrive funding is, at least, partially provided by the State Library of Ohio most counties in Ohio will have large ebook inventories.

the county of Los Angeles library (COLA not LAPL) just announced they'll be adding 10K titles within the next month. They have about 4000 now. So we should be in very good shape between the 2

Excellent! I was shocked/sad to see how few ebooks are available at the Pasadena/Glendale library (only 1,253 titles... many of which are in the public domain).

They were another library that fell off the list. I'm afraid 10,540 may not be enough to make the next list. Unless they add more before then.

Is the list on post #1 up-to-date? Manitoba is listed at #20 and has under 10,000.

It was accurate as of Sept 19th. If I add Columbus, Ohio with their 11,873 to the list, Manitoba drops off.

Of course, more titles may be added all around and LA (city and county) may squeeze in. It's all very fluid.

Updated the list today. I had to extend the list to 24 entries since the last few are close in number.

A few of our old friends have returned to the family.

Please welcome our newest entry ... Ontario ... to our group. Although, technically they come in at #22 it's possible they may speed over a few others at the next update.
