random low battery warning?

I just got my new Pocket Edge (from Woot) a couple of days a go and charged it for about 8 hours before using it. Since the company is kaput, I have decided not to risk upgrading the OS. I couldn't find any good reason to do so. However, I have had a something happen that concerns me a little. So far on two separate occasions, while reading on the e-ink reader side with the LCD screen off, the LCD will come on by itself and display a low battery warning and advise me that I need to charge the battery. It shows this for not even a full second and then the warning goes away by itself. The odd thing is that the battery was showing about 80% or higher on both occasions.

Is this something that I need to worry about? Is there anything that I need to do the fix this?

Hi rebeltaz!

My PE used to do that. I don't know why it doesn't anymore, possibly my upgrade to Ermine? Or maybe just time and use. I remember someone else commenting on the same oddity with their PE.

Whatever causes it and whatever fixes it, I don't think you need to worry -- unless it starts driving you batty.

Hmmm... It seems to have stopped that all on it's own and I haven't done anything! Oh well... I'm happy now.

re: username and avatar - Thanks... been using those for 15 years and boy - do they fit my personality!
