PRS+: Enhanced firmware for Sony Reader, Folders, Games & more

I installed the 2.0.12beta_installer_setup.exe (respective version for each) on my 650 and on my 350. This is my first attempt and everything seems to be working well.

But, on the 650, the time display at the bottom will only show a 24 hour clock. I've changed the setting multiple times and on the general settings page, it changes there, but not on the bottom display. On my 350, it changes the way it should. So, I downloaded and reinstalled on the 650, same 2.0.12, but it made no difference.

Should I have installed an alpha version first, or is there another way to correct this?

Try shutting down (not putting it to sleep) your 650 then start it back up.

Ahhhh, didn't know there were 2 places to set 24/12 hr clock, I just changed the general setting one, not the PRS+ one. It's working now!!

You probably changed it using menu customizer. Try to set values to default.

I am sorry, I was not clear. I am talking about the Other application screen where you find prs+ parameters, calculator and so on.
I have one above the line between parameters and game, the other below at the end after calendar.

Last version (from repo) work fine (apps tab, calendar and etc...).
But small defects: in calendar:
if today == saturday -> frame color different from background (this true), but if today == sunday -> frame color == background (and today date - invisible)

Mark, what problems fixed these changes made for you (http://code.google.com/p/prs-plus/so...d5e6144b39c3)? Do they solve the problems whit displaying the first page on lrf/epub books on prs 505 (issue #24)?

Victor,

it just fixes the display of localised "Sleeping.." with current page as screensaver.
And add a "FIXME" for LRF-Files

I'm now able to display fist-page of LRF-book when standby is entered from a menu, but I can't get it to work when entering form within the book.
The returned bitmap holds the text-page

I'm currently using page = kbook.model.container.sandbox.PAGE_GROUP.sandbox.P AGE; as actual viewer-instance.

Ideas anybody? [EDIT 12.09.2011] solved it with Revision 7b059b5e41 [/EDIT]

But on thinking twice this might be due JS is using references all the time, so after doGoto(oldpage) bitmap refers again to the text-page.
Will have to try to COPY the bitmap instead of referencing it. (I thought page.data.render() is returning a independed bitmap, but this seems not to be true)

Could there ever be a possibility to alter zoom levels for epubs similar altering them for lrf's in PRS+?

Fine adjusting font size with CSS is of course possible, but nevertheless time consuming:
Close book - options - PRS+ - ... - ... - chose CSS - closing options - open another book - close the book - open the first book.

At least a quick possibility for altering the CSS file would help.

Besides - I made a preview-PRS+ from the actual status quo of the repository. Very useable! Especially the possibility to switch off touch screen functionality per button.

To my knowledge, they have only one bitmap, so when rendering new page they re-use existing. But why is it a problem for you, just do goto old page after you've finished drawing.

They are under the title "Dictionary" in the language file. I don't have the source code here at the moment.

der Einfachheit halber auf Deutsch:
RESULTS_SIZE: Schrift-Größe (FontSize) die im Ausgabefenster der Dictionary-Anwendung für 300/505 verwendet wird.

MAX_SMART_ZOOM: wenn die Zeilenlänge des Ergebnis die mögliche Zeilenlänge mit RESULTS_SIZE überschreitet wird die Schriftgröße automatisch bis auf MAX_SMART_ZOOM (in Prozent) verkleinert, um möglichst allen Text im Ausgabefenster darstellen zu können
