I just played around with 1.9.10, and it definitely fixed that odd footnote/endnote bug that plagued the last release. Glad to see that fixed! However, it has not fixed this dropcap rendering bug that I note here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...93&postcount=1 |

I am so happy. Installed the update and the dreaded storage error has disappeared while leaving my bookmarks intact!

I’m guessing all this language inclusion is priming the Kobo for an International release? I haven't updated to 1.9.10 yet (actually still on 1.9.8, and wife's on 1.9.9). I preferred the non-fullscreen bookcovers believe it or not Will report back when I get a chance to update, though it's heartening to hear that this appears to be resolving most people’s issues. |

I did an over the air update about three hours ago and have no issues. But then, I mainly read kepubs and haven't had the storage error. I am working through a commercial epub from Sourcebooks by Georgette Heyer ... without incident. Thanks again for the updates folks! |

The bottom line on all of my epubs (sideloaded, DRM free) is broken. It has one of 2 issues: either the line is *right* at the bottom, and any characters that drop below the line are have their bottoms clipped (ex g,j,p,y etc) or, only the top part of a line shows, so only the high parts of taller characters show up (looks like a bunch of dots, the tops of h,l,k,t, and caps show up) 1.9.10, never happened with 1.9.9, this is new. The REAL Joe ***SORRY*** I just noticed a page back that one of the Kobo Dev's has indicated they are able to reproduce and are planning to issue another update lickety split, so please disregard; and a big thanks for the quick response to the dev's. Sorry also for the harsh criticism on the factory reset issue, but *man* that was a major pain, and you guys were just so silent on it for such a long time, when it seemed that you were very active in discussing other comparatively insignificant issues and features. No update yet for me either (in New Zealand if it makes any difference). In fact when I powered off and tried to connect to the updated kobo desktop I got the dreaded storage error. When I cancelled out ALL my books had gone so I was forced to do a factory reset - it updated my firmware, but only to 1.9.9. Here I go spending another hour loading books on again - in fact I may save myself the hassle and just load the one I'm reading at the moment. Grrrr.... |

This morning I "thought" I had updated - obviously having a bit of a blonde moment which I put down to the stress of the storage error and total jubilation at the thought it might be over. So I loaded up 200 books and ZAP! - got myself another storage error.

At least after reloading everything my wireless connects to the store for the first time. Cheers - and commiserations! John (still in Japan for another two weeks - went bear hunting yesterday, but only by air, looking for a brown bear that was reported close to the town and which was causing some concern. Didn't see anything sadly. Now waiting for the Typhoon to arrive, so having a lazy day with no flying because of heavy rain)

I had the storage error so, after updating the desktop, it told me I had to do the factory reset to update the kobo, so I went to the direct way: I downloaded the file for the new release and loaded it into Kobo. Now, I have 1.9.10 release at my Kobo and no storage error.
