They may have new models of 5" and 7" coming out later. Or they may just keep the 950 and 350. the 950 already has wifi, and the 350 is a niche product. The ONLY valid assumption is - they have a new 6" model coming out. |

But who would actually buy the 350 at a higher cost then the T1?

I was wondering, this new reader with it's Wi-Fi abilities can connect to the net and download a book from a website and all that. But do you think I can simply download to that reader a book that is on my computer ? Or do I still need to use a cable to connect my computer to that new reader ?

Well if at least officially this device cannot communicate directly with my computer through it's Wi-Fi abilities, that makes it significantly less interesting.

What about anyone of you fellow ebook users that happen to have any other reader that uses Wi-Fi ? does it do that ? My point being if other brands of readers can do it then it would stand to reason to assume that the T1 should too. If not then I guess I'm screwed at least about this reader and Sony is too with one unit that won't be sold. |

I see. So if I want to upload a file to my Wi-Fi reader from my computer I must use the USB cable that goes with it, which is how I do things with my PRS 650 and it works fine.

So why on earth would I want to bother getting the T1 ? (Warning: Rhetorical question) |

If you have something like calibre's content server running on your computer, Kindle can access that with its web browser and download books.

but you can't do that with any official tools. It isn't like Amazon (or anyone else) has an app to let you grab files from your computer or sync. So isn't anything that a company can tote about.
