IQ Is the new firmware worth it and can you root the IQ?

Hi,

My device is rooted under firmware 2.0.6 and since it seems no one has issued an easy solution to root the IQ after upgrading to firmware 2.1, I am wondering if it is really worth to update the IQ to the latest firmware, especially since many people seem to have problems with the new version.

Let me know if there are any major Pros to upgrade and whether you have been able to root the device after upgrading.

Don't bother with the update. You can get working with wi-fi but not the TTS.
The only thing I see new with the update is a bunch of new widgets. I use LauncherPro + anyway. I'm going to go back to 2.06 on a rainy day with plenty of time to set it all up.................again.

may be it's just my imagination, but I think that the new firmware is waking my IQ up more often than 2.06.

yeah, thanks for confirming that. It feels like I have to recharge the unit more frequently.

I may just go back to 2.06.
