Hello All
I've owned a black Kobo original for all of 5 days. Picked it up from Best Buy Canada online refurbished for 59.99 with free shipping. So far I like the e-ink experience, but it likes to lock up when the battery icon reports half a tank. It came with 1.8.3. The lock ups happen either when changing chapters or pressing side buttons or even when loading a half read book. Not sure if I should return this

Factory reset then plug it in to the 'puter for an update/sync.
It will automatically look for the newest firmware if it thinks it's a new reader- which it will, after a reset. Once that new firmware loads itself, you will probably see a huge difference in its performance, as well as have the lovely new GOTO feature. You want the GOTO feature, trust me. |
