Hi guys, I'd like to share a little piece of software I've made. It's actually an add-in for Word 2007/2010 (I've tested it on x86 only, not sure whether it'll run on x64 as well) in which you enter your Kindle address and then by clicking a button format currently opened document for the Kindle 3's screen. You can send it directly to your Kindle with another button. This add-in might not be useful for everybody, it's main purpose is to serve people with similar needs to mine - if you have a document with pictures, Word equations and tables, the PDF format is AFAIK the only option for preserving the exact layout as in the original document. More info and a download link is on my blog right here EDIT: The problems mentions in the posts below have all been fixed, so if you didn't want to try this addin because of them before, now you can! Thanks, looks like a nice tweak. Word 2010 has an option to save word documents as pdf. |

DiapDealer: Yes, export and send functions are under the same button, so in order to export the document using my button, you need to have your email address filled in. But just as billmilo said, Word has an export to pdf function in case you don't want to use 'my' button.

Hello Office 2007 has a “save as pdf” free plugin that after installed lets one do exactly that in any of the office suit programs (including of course word). One can get it in: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displaylang=en Best regards, |

Why re-invent a wheel that works? As other have stated Office 2007/2010 already have convert to PDF ability available for free. All you really need to do is create a template that will work with your reader (Kindle) so that new documents can be quickly formatted in a small size with small margins and a text size that is readable on a 6" screen, then creating PDFs becomes a breeze.
