Also, somewhere in MyeBay I was able to have it email me whenever items meeting the search criteria were added to ebay.

Wow, i saw it earlier today and had lunch.. thought about it over lunch and was tempted to get it so I returned and all the 150 EE are gone!

Seems the seller must have put in a wrong initial price. As soon as I had reviewed the email notice I posted the information.
I thought the price was incredible.

In addition to the price now being $169.99 the seller has changed the return policy terms to
"The seller will not accept returns for this item."

The original ads had a
seven day return for defective items.

Review of pcukid's feedback page a number of EE's were previously sold in the $249 -$349 range.

Edit: Thanks all for pointing out the price changes. I have updated the original post.

For once I was glad I was quick on the trigger. I bought it at 149 with the 7 day return policy so I'm happy!

The returns not accepted is a little fishy, what if the unit arrives broken? I am almost considering returning my new Thrive to Staples and just getting one of these, sure the screen is nice and Flash works but I can't justify having a $470 device on me when I already have a PE that does the same thing with a smaller screen but also an e-ink screen. Would I be able to get a SquareTrade warranty for this if I buy it from eBay?

Yes you can get a squaretrade warranty. I had planned to get one when I paid 265, I'll have to see once the new one comes in..

according to this squaretrade will cover you. Also pay with paypal if you can and dispute the payment if the thing is DOA or use the ebay buyer protection program. If the seller says new and it is not, there are ways to get your money back.

The Micro Center page only shows availability at one store at a time, but I checked a few different stores (by picking from the 'Shop Your Store' green box at the top of the page) and they were there.

. I already have the pe and want an Asus transformer. 150 shipped is my pricepoint for an EE else the mula is going to the Asus.

I do, the seller I bought from was great, free return shipping and I have 10 days(from the time the Fedex label was issued) to send it back. Hopefully I'll have the new one and can test it out before I give up this one.
