Wow. I've only had my new K3 on for less than 2 days. I think it's already been paid for now through savings on special offers. I only wish I had gotten one earlier.

I do not believe so. I wanted white and they didn't have it, though I think they have the $189 version in white.

I took the plunge and went to Best Buy today. I bought the graphite Kindle 3G with special offers for $139. Got the $30 gift card back. (which is worth only $20.15 because my state's sales tax is high... if I had ordered directly from Amazon, I wouldn't have to pay sales tax )

Still... it's pretty cheap for a Kindle 3G... I can always get a can of spray paint and paint it white.

Overall, I have a love/hate relationship with the K3 over the K2. I love the smaller size and the browser is so much better. I hate the keyboard missing the numbers now, I prefer the K2 power switch/headphone placement and the page buttons are harder to use on the K3. The K2 just seemed classier. The plastic on the K2 seemed "better" and the stainless steel back definitely gave it an air of quality. The K3 seems "cheap" in comparison.
Overall, I wish I could get the K3 guts in a K2 body. But the better browser and special offers win the day for the K3.

I'm pretty sure that the deal was only for the 3G Kindles.
