			Yeah, but...but that wouldn't tell me what type of woman she is. You can't tell a book by its Nook. I might start a conversation with her only to find out that she reads Danielle Steel and Jackie Collins!

			Just to give an example of how to use multiple recommendation engines: I followed an earlier poster's suggestion of checking out the ManBooker Prize finalists. I found a book I was interested in and browsed over to Amazon to check out the reviews. I then added the book to my wish list . I then looked at the " People who bought this also bought" list generated by amazon , and by the time I was done, I had added 5 books to my wish list. Before I buy, i'll probably look at what Goodreads says about these books, and I'll probably end with even more recommendations and suggestions. Following on the manBooker prize suggestion, a good idea would be to check the National book Awards and Pulitzer Prize finalist lists. Off to do that now... |
