What's in your wardrobe?

We've been talking about clothes for a while in the 'what's in your cup'-thread, so it seems the time is ripe for a new thread: what's in your wardrobe?

As you can guess, this thread is about clothing. Do you have a styling question? Would you like to know for example which shoes go best with a dress? Which belt you should wear with that pair of pants. Or maybe you just want to show of your outfit. Boast about new purchases. Talk about the latest trend, good or bad. Then there are also those of us who just want to look at pictures of pretty girls in pretty dresses every now and then (I won't mention any names, you know who you are

).

I'll start. My parents are hosting a garden party with BBQ today. It's a pretty warm day here in Belgium, so I'll be wearing a dress (see thumbnail). I don't have the right shoes to go with it but that doesn't matter because I'll be walking barefoot in the garden anyway. Now I need to pick out some jewelery ...

I'm going to a bbq too! (Tomorrow, though.) I'm wearing my normal cargo pants, which can be rolled up to stay cool or rolled down to keep the mosquitoes off. T-shirt, one of many. Yes, I'm very fashion-forward!

(Very cute dress, Iridal. You would add a bit of class to our bbq for sure -- come on over!)

I have a question for the fashion knowledgeable;
Should a belt be threaded left to right or right to left when the buckle is neutral? This had been a long running debate between me and a close friend, and I'd like some closure. While I'm not prepared to go to war over this, as some countries might over which end of an egg to open, I would like to believe that I'm correct.

Actually, I do have a serious question...

It concerns the rubber shoes called "Crocs." They are very, very common-place here for everyone from small children to grandparents, worn both with and without socks. I think they are some of the UGLIEST footwear I've ever seen, but at the same time, they are about the most comfortable footwear I've ever worn!

What's your opinion?

One track mind! *shakes head*

In my wardrobe: too many of T-shirts and tops. Too few skirts and shirts. A couple that are too large to wear anymore. Five? pairs of jeans (yeah, I'm a denim kind of girl). A couple of dresses that I wear to (other people's) weddings, one of which is again too large in the boob area. And I"m sad to say that's about it.
I spend too much on ebooks!

There!
And the Mercedes Broom cost a fortune.

I have multiple pairs of Crocs, and yes, they are ugly. They go very well with the aforementioned cargo pants, though, and they're oh-so-comfortable:

I was absolutely death on crocs until I pulled a 6 week project in Hawaii at Tripler. my feet were in agony! I noticed that all of the Docs and most of the other staff were in crocs. tried them out and have never looked back! they actually have a lot of different styles, some that look nothing like the "croc"

Always left to right! [with a kitten hanging off the buckle]

I've never tried on a pair of Crocs - you all have convinced me I need to visit a shoe store today and see if you are all crazy or brilliant! They look hideous & hideously uncomfortable - but the crowds have spoken!

they are crazy comfortable, and your feet do NOT get all hot and sweaty in them which I was certain was going to be an issue!

I wear them every day (apart from days where I have to travel for work) and I love them, and don't find them ugly. I only do black, though.

I like the Crocs, but I can wear them only when 33% of my family is not around, for esthetic reasons. An other bad point is that if you thread over roses' clippings, the thorns get stuck in the sole. When you press with your foot over a stone, you get a nasty sting.

And I would never wear them with shorts, only long jeans.
