Hi Lisa,
Am I correct in believing that you are the manufacturer of the Bookeen CyBook? |

I just crashed the screen of my iLiad, so *I* should be the tester, because you need the most boneheaded user to make the endurance test.

I just realized that since the Netronix runs Windows CE, then I'd be able to use AvantGo on it. I've always enjoyed using AvantGo on my Palm devices.

Windows CE is a modular operating system that manufacturers can pick and choose which bits to install. They could, for example, just choose to run the o/s kernel, but not the windowing system (I'm not sure how well a traditional windows UI would work on an eInk device). We'll have to wait and see. |

Doesn't really matter. I've been trying for several WEEKS to get an email through to ANY of their addresses. I've tried my corporate email, my gmail account and my personal email addresses and they all say that the email system cannot deliver to Netronix. And Lisa hasn't responded to any of my last PMs here at MobileRead. Getting rather frustrating. Derek |

I got a decent photo of the EB-100.
It looks suspiciously like the Cybook.

I disagree. I think it looks like the NUUT or the Starebook.
P.S. What's the status on the Cybook order? |

Hi
I see that some people have had trouble finding more information about the Netronix ebook readers. I sent an email to Netronix after reading about them on Engadget and recently got a reply. I hope they don't mind me posting it here, but I think people might find it informative. Quote:

I asked Lisa what the projected cost of the 300 will be and she provided the response below:
Dear Sir,
Cost is not ready. Probably will be available by end July. Regards, Lisa |

Yikes, I wonder how many *other* devices will beat them to the market. That's a friggin long time for even a quote (and this info has been out for a little while now!). They need to get on the ball, because if quotes aren't available until Q3 2008, then the actual device might not even make it into real hands until late Q4 2008 or maybe even early Q1 2009. Ouch! Sony might beat them to the punch.

I can't see PVI making larger screens while their plant is running flat out trying to cope with demand for the 6" screens.
