Ye here it is an attachment. The one selected is the first edition I presume, and the one above is dated 2009 and has a different cover.

But now that version continues at the price of $8 and for the first version seems like the price did drop a bit for Europe now

For this price I think I will buy once I solved the problems with my card

I just wanted a link so I could click through and see what you are seeing. Anyway, you can check and see if both editions are by the same publisher. If they are, then the second edition could have had errors in it corrected. If the difference is just different publishers then I would go with the cheaper one. lol

Ohhhh. Very weird. I don't know what to make of that, but I don't know how things work with Amazon and other countries besides UK.

It wouldn't have worked that way anyway - you're in the US, but Akuma is logging in from Portugal. If you look at the screenshot, you can see the VAT info and such.

It looks like, possibly due to a publisher issue specific to certain geographic territories, a different edition was added to run the discounted price. Doesn't make sense, but since when do publishers do things that make sense?

I don't know about that, as Scott said the discounted price was only for the US. I looked at it through the UK link and the publisher there was Hodder, with again different prices. The whole situation is so confusing and aggravating.

Ye, The 2008 version is published by Broadway and the 2009 version is by Hobber.

Added another screenshot to show the other version. Still think that the first version as a better cover

It's "Hodder" and they are my UK publisher. The first book is from Crown Publishing (a division of Random House), and they are my US publisher. Same book, different covers.

But now I know, thanks for answering, and sorry for the hassle

I kinda like more the first version cover than the newer version and if the price keeps at $3.44 for me during this week I will buy it, seems really interesting, the price was the only thing holding me back

If you are talking about this book...this is the first published book I believe, only Ancestor and Earthcore came from Dragon Moon Press...the podcasted version from a few years ago when it was called "Infection" IS different...in my opinion, this version is a MUCH better version.

The question is, what is the difference in the editions of this particular book? I have Infected (not the podcast, the e-print edition). Not on Kindle (or at least not this edition; I'll have to track down the source, but my spreadsheet says "mobi", not Kindle).

I rather remember getting it free or very low cost from the author's website, perhaps?

The publisher on the plate page is Crown, I think.
