Hello , to the community , i'm new here; I just bought a pocket edge.
Although there appears to be stormy weather around entourage ( the home page seems to be down, which is not too reassuring ) , I hope support and the community will stay for some time ! Personnally , I find the device to be great ! The reader may be a bit slow, but it's not an impassable obstacle... My software version is dingo 1.13 and I heard there's a newer (?) faster beta version. So : 1) is it stable enough? 2)do you recommend it? 3)how do I install it? 4) Will this update erase the books I already have installed? I also noticed that my wifi range is limited ( about 15 meters inside the house , so my sofa area is not covered lol Thanks for reading! |

1) The Android 2.2.1 beta appears to be very stable for most PE users.
2) I recommend it because it speeds up the PE response considerably, especially on the e_Ink side. 3) Here is a link for installing it: http://www.entourageedge.com/forums/...ingo-to-Ermine 4) The update should not affect any saved files. Thanks for posting. |

Hi Pamelou! Welcome!
![]() Interesting what you say about the wifi range. Mine seems pretty good, although once when I tried it in the morning while in bed ( ![]() ![]() I have not upgraded from Dingo yet. Purely your choice. I am wondering if the connection issues will affect your being able to download Ermine??? Last edited by Filark; 04-30-2011 at 11:44 PM. Reason: Hey! I can post again! :) |

I used the eDGe (not the pocket) in a three levels house where the wifi modem was placed at the firts floor, and I was on a bed in the last. It performed good. |

Hi pamelou, welcome to the family. I have had no problems with Wi-Fi connection before or after up grade until yesterday. At another house and I notice my Wi-Fi kept fadeing in and out until completely gone. Turning the device off and back on solved the problem. Every device has it hiccups. I may not like the way it acts at times but I love it.
