Me too, I often forget to unlock the screen before pushing search or the camera icon.

Count me in on this feature request. I constantly forget to unlock the lcd screen when wanting to use reader only.

I would like to see this as well.

In a recent Dingo release (perhaps 1.6 or 1.10), enTourage implemented this feature. It's a real treat now to click the Info action, or Search, on the Reader side and have the LCD side power up and unlock all by itself
